Hawke’s Bay Police have tonight taken into custody a 40-year-old man who has been sought in relation to a warrant to arrest.

The man was taken into custody without incident at a Marewa address at around 10.30pm.
?
Police would like to thank Napier residents for their patience and cooperation as we worked around the city this week to locate the wanted man.?
?
We understand the heavy police presence has been concerning for some residents and we are grateful for the support we have received from the public.
?
The man is likely to face a number of charges. An update will be provided at the earliest opportunity tomorrow.
