Police are now able to release the name of the man who died in a helicopter crash in Otago on Thursday 16 September.

He was Daniel Harrison, 36, of Milton.

Police extend our sympathies to Mr Harrison's family and loved ones at this time.

Mr Harrison's family have requested privacy as they grieve his loss.?

The circumstances of the crash continue to be investigated by the Transport Accident Investigation Commission (TAIC).
