Grant, Snow & Snow, S.C. consists of James Grant, Kristine Snow and Todd Snow. Please read more about us in our biographies below.
James Grant is a true "general practitioner" in that he founded his practice on helping clients for most of their legal needs. Jim's reputation for zealous representation has earned him the respect of his clients, peers and judges. They often refer new clients for his services. Jim's practice includes criminal defense, personal injury, family law, civil litigation, real estate, estate planning, probate and more. He also prepares hundreds of tax returns each year, which allows him to keep in contact with clients who have become friends as well. Jim was recognized by his peers in being elected president of the prestigious Wisconsin Association of Trial Lawyers. Jim is also very active in the Waupun community. He is involved with the Waupun Booster Club, Waupun Gardening Club, and was one of the instrumental persons in helping to build the Waupun Skating Center. He has been the past officer and/or member of many boards and charitable organizations in the area, including Wild Wings, Inc., Waupun Memorial Hospital, The Christian Home, and many more. Jim and his wife Karen reside in the country just outside Waupun on the Rock River.
Kristine Snow has been practicing law since 1992. She currently focuses her practice primarily in family law, bankruptcy and appeals, and also provides services in estate planning, probate, real estate and limited liability corporation formation. Kristine was a clerk to the Honorable Daniel P. Anderson of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals. During her almost ten years as a litigation attorney with the Madison law firm of Hurley, Burish & Milliken, S.C., she argued--and won--an appeal before the Wisconsin Supreme Court. She has also taught computer legal research to attorneys, judges and law students across the state of Tennessee while working for a leading legal publishing company. During that time she met her husband Todd, who was an attorney at a large Memphis law firm. Kristine currently is enjoying living in Waupun and is participating in the community as the secretary of the Waupun Rotary Club and the treasurer of the Waupun Figure Skating Club. She and her husband Todd are active parents for their new kindergartner Alaina, and Todd's sons, Ian and Alex. She is an avid Wisconsin Badgers football and basketball fan.
Todd Snow's interests lie in defending individual rights and liberties in Dodge, Fond du Lac, Columbia, Green Lake, and Winnebago Counties. He is a strong advocate in the courtroom for the accused in felony and misdemeanor cases, drunk driving defense, CHIPS cases and social services investigations. He also represents clients in civil lawsuits, collection matters, and post-judgment custody and placement disputes. He is willing to take on the district attorneys, police departments and sheriff departments to challenge invalid stops, improper tests/refusals, improper searches and seizures to represent your interests. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Todd served his country as a submariner with the Navy on the USS Archerfish. Todd started his legal career as a litigation attorney with a large Memphis, Tennessee law firm, Harris Shelton Hanover Walsh, PLLC. In addition to his practice with Grant, Snow & Snow, S.C., Todd currently serves in the Army Reserves as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) Officer where he defends Soldiers facing discharge from Service. Since moving to Waupun in 2006 from Memphis, Tennessee (Go Memphis Tigers!), he is an active member of the Waupun posts of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is also on the Gift and Bequest Committee of Waupun Memorial Hospital and a member of Waupun Lions Club. Todd has recently taken up golf and vows to break 100 in the near future.
Our firm's origins in Waupun date back to Attorney Eli Hooker (1850-1889), making this office one of the oldest in the state. Eli's practice extended to C.E. Hooker (1880-1928) and E.W. Hooker (1924-1982). James Grant joined the practice of E.W. Hooker in the 1960's and following E.W.'s death in 1982 continued as the Grant Law Offices. On January 1, 2007, Jim and Kristine and Todd Snow formed the firm of Grant, Snow & Snow, S.C. We will continue to operate at the same location, 514 East Main Street, in Waupun.
